We are currently looking for a LEO Spacecraft Operations Engineer to support our customer in Germany. LEO Spacecraft Operations Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of the Metop Spacecraft Operations Team at EUMETSAT, you will have the following responsibilities Support to the routine operations of Metop A, B Provision of operational expertise to platform subsystems andor payload instruments andor onboard software management, satellite simulator and ground segment operations interfaces Maintain the corresponding operations documentation and flight procedures Perform trending and performance analysis on the corresponding subsystems and instruments Investigations into satellite anomalies Support to the operations preparation and early operations of MetopC Update, verify and validate the subsystem or instrument procedures and associated operational documentation Support to the system and operations preparation of Metop Second Generation satellites as well as of other LEO satellites Provide inputs and or review the definition of system and satellite operational concepts Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant demonstrated work experience University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline Spacecraft monitor and control operations Spacecraft operations preparation engineering Low Earth Orbit spacecraft design or Assembly Integration and Test activities at system or subsystem level Inorbit operations of Low Earth Orbit Earth Observation satellites Operation or development of satellite ground segment facilities The procedure development tool MOIS and the procedure execution language STOL Mission control systems EPOCH or SCOS Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
