For one of our Dutch Aerospace customers, we are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Lead Engineer Solar Arrays, who will, amongst other things, be involved in Contribute to the creation of the technical part of a Solar Array Proposal You review external requirements and prepare a design and development plan In addition, you take care of the selection and application of technologies and you develop draft designs for the sub systems You will contribute to the technical part of the project reviews You also have an active role in making suggestions for further development of the field In projects you fulfil the role of work package manager and lead approximately ten project members in the operations. Experience and Education You have demonstrable knowledge and 5 to 10 years of experience in designing lightweight mechanical systems Knowledge and experience with mathematical models such as NASTRAN PATRAN and are familiar with the requirements that products and materials have to meet for use in space Experience with kinematics and knowledge of modern composites Some knowledge of electrical drive units for deploying mechanisms mechatronics is advantageous and could be needed in future developments You have a proactive, problem solving and resultsoriented attitude and are capable of directing, steering and motivating a group of specialists Furthermore, the coordination of development tests and subsequent review for implementation in the basic design is an important competency A customeroriented attitude and you will be able to translate complex customer requirements into concrete plans and thereby demonstrate understanding of the interests and political forces within and outside the organization You master the English language in speech and writing and you have excellent communication and presentation skills.
