(Telecompaper) Lenovo and Juniper Networks announced a partnership to develop products for the data centre infrastructure market. The alliance reflects a commitment "to deliver simplified, flexible, and high-performance solutions that will provide customers faster time-to-application value with reduced operating costs", the companies said in a statement. The cooperation will be build on Lenovo's x86-based servers and switches and Juniper's portfolio of routers, switches, network management software, network security products and software-defined networking technology. Customers will be able to purchase Juniper's networking products directly from Lenovo as a result of the cooperation. The new offerings will be offered worldwide to enterprise customers, service providers, channel partners and system integrators through a joint go-to-market model, including a tailor-made resell model for the Chinese market.
