Made of blackened steel with hardened wedge surfaces, GN 920.1 Wedge Clamps are available with smooth, serrated, or prism-shaped jaws as well as with 2 mounting threads for attachment jaws. Clamping is achieved via socket head cap screw and clamp wedge, which function by moving both jaws outward. When screw is loosened, clamp wedge returns to original position via internal return spring, which in turn loosens tension. Long hole in clamp wedge compensates for tolerances in work piece.
