NEMA has published NEMA HV 2-2014 Suspension and Post Type Insulators for Electric Power Overhead Lines General Use Information. HV 2 provides guidelines for proper use of insulators and suggestions for precautions to be taken against improper use. Latest edition was rewritten to include all suspension and post type high-voltage insulators as covered in ANSI C29 series of American National Standards.
