NIST Material Measurement Laboratory and ASM International have formed Structural Materials Data Demonstration Project. Leveraging overlapping interests and strengths, this collaboration will establish data repository focused on metallic structural materials. Data repository will support data for use at number of length scales, and open access will provide materials digital data community with resource for data analytics and informatics, modeling and simulation, and educational purposes.
