For our activities in ESOC, we are currently looking for a Navigation Operations Engineer. Tasks and Responsibilities The Key Person will be responsible for the following tasks Navigation Experimental Operations Galileo Performance Analysis EGNOS Performance Analysis POD engineering support and consultancy GNSS station engineering Range Integrity Monitoring Stations RIMS deployment Maintenance and upgrade of SW Ionospheric modelling The Key Person may be requested to assume the responsibility and perform activities for additional service, projects and activities within the scope of overall Navigation services. The Key Person will be primarily assigned particular services within the Navigation Office but with the possibility of supporting other services andor projects within the agreed level of service. Requirements In addition to a Master degree or equivalent in a relevant field astronomy, mathematics or physics, the key person should bring at least 5 years experience in the following fields in particular a very good knowledge of system operations automated and manual, a very good knowledge of procedures development, implementation and application, a very good knowledge in GNSS, SLR and DORIS tracking systems and data processing knowledge or interest in algorithm and SW development a good expertise of OracleSUNSolaris and PCLinux, network services and protocols, and computer peripherals proficient in Unix andor Linux, shell scripting languages, Fortran 77 andor 95, C andor C. indepth knowledge of Galileo indepth knowledge of EGNOS a very good knowledge in POD algorithms and software development. a very good knowledge in modelling of satellite dynamics and signal propagation effects have demonstrated a minimum of practical experience in hosting GNSSGPS reference stations of 5 years. Skills to apply their knowledge to develop solutions to technical mathematical and dynamical problems in cooperation with customers and other experts Experience dealing with external interfaces have very good communication and negotiation skills. be prepared to travel frequently to remote sites have a good teamworking spirit.
