The huge gender gap that endures in Manitoba's boardrooms could narrow in the new year, thanks to new rules that kick in Jan. 1. That's when local companies will be obliged to make public the number of women on their boards and in their executive offices, and lay out what policies are in place to recruit more women to those senior jobs. IN 2013, a Free Press analysis found only six per cent of corporate directorships in Manitoba were held by women.
