(Telecompaper) O2 Germany is introducing a new range of postpaid plans, offering customers 'unlimited' internet, at a reduced speed after using up the monthly bundle. Customers subscribing to the O2 Free plans, available from 05 October, will be able to still use internet, at up to 1 Mbps, after their monthly data bundle is consumed. O2 said this is enough to access basic services such as messaging apps and email. All the plans also come with unlimited calls and SMS in Germany, LTE speeds on the data bundle and roam-like-home calls and 1 GB data for roaming in the EU. O2 Free starts at EUR 24.99 per month for 200 MB data at full speed each month, based on a 24-month contract. Under a promotional offer available until the end of 2016, this will be increased to 1 GB a month permanently. Additional options include 2 GB for EUR 34.99, 4 GB for EUR 44.99 and 8 GB for EUR 54.99. Customers who also take another service from O2 receive a discount of EUR 5 per month on the plans.
