With PoE Ethernet Extenders, power can be deployed to remote devices such as IP cameras, VoIP phones, and wireless access points up to 10,000 ft away via copper wiring. VDSL-based units feature built-in Power Sourcing Equipment controller that is fully compliant with IEEE 802.3af standards, and can tell through signal detection whether or not attached Ethernet device is PoE capable.
