For our activities in ESTEC, we are currently looking for a Programme Project Controller. Tasks and Responsibilities The holder of this post will be responsible for Programme Administration activities within the Copernicus Programme. As such, she will be assigned to and directly support one or more Copernicus project controllers and will liaise closely with the Copernicus Programme Controller and the related services inside and outside the Directorate. The post holder will report hierarchically to the Head of the Copernicus Project Control Section in the Project Control and Management Support Office and functionally to the Copernicus Project Controllers. Typical duties include Preparation, administration and monitoring of Copernicus procurement actions Contracts, Purchase Orders, etc. within ESA SAP system esap as well as in excel or other tools as required. In particular Preparation of SAP Shopping Carts Timely managing of all GRNs of the assigned projects Creation and maintenance of milestone payment plans to ensure the planning is uptodate in esap and in related files if required Reports on financial status of procurements and internal cost of projects as required. Reporting and synthesis of overall Copernicus Programme financial and budgetary status of industrial contracts and internal costs, including overheads Support the Copernicus project controllers in maintaining financial or procurement databases such as geographical return and cost plans, actuals and deviations Support in the administrative process of implementing the so called Best Practices of selection of subcontractors Interfacing with industry on all financial and administrative matters Facilitate, support and monitor the procurement process of small and medium size contracts and perform the financial and contractual administration thereof Support the Programme Controller in the introduction of new administration procedurestools. Assist in the preparation of projects audits Maintenance of the inventory record for the assigned Sentinels Consortia. Requirements Experience in the Administration and Control of ESA projects is desired, in particular those funded by the European Commission in the use of planning and project control tools, and in budget and accounting ESA software and databases. Significant experience with ESA SAP system esap is required. Knowledge andor experience within Copernicus programme is an asset. Candidates are expected to demonstrate excellent planning and organisation skills, attention to detail and be able to work effectively in a team environment. They must possess good judgment, integrity and good communications skills. Working language is English.
