Key objectives of this position include We are currently looking for a Project Controller in three specific domains Ground Segment Projects Infrastructure SSA Programme Responsibilities Duties The following list provides an overview of the likely tasks to be assigned for any of the Project Controller positions Preparation of Work Breakdown Structures, the related Workpackages and the detailedsummary schedules for the respective activities Preparation and maintenance of the project costtocompletions ensuring consistency with the Work Breakdown Structures, Planning and ProjectInternal budgets Implementation of planning and control procedures Identification of problem areas and proposal of remedial actions and replanning as required Preparation of ESA Management Information Reports MIR e.g. manpower, cost, schedule and technical progress of the work Support in the preparation of the Mission Implementation Plan MIP Support to the risk management process Maintenance of the information contained in the ESOC Project Team InternetIntranet Sites Assistance in the preparation of tender documents for project controlrelated items and preparation of information for contractchange negotiations Monitoring of assigned contracts with respect to cost, progress, invoicing, payments, industrial return, deviation from plans and trends Generation, maintenance of and reporting about financial, schedule and performance data, all accessible by both the management as well as the Project Control Unit staff Update and maintenance of data in both directorate and corporate information systems Provision of inputs to budgets, reports and forecasts support the documentation management Monitoring of financial commitments an cost for compliance with budgetary provisions and financial regulations Planning and reporting inyear, multiyear on cost, schedule, industrial return, workforce, risks for the assigned domain, subdomains and investment projects Preparation and maintenance of the Programme CostatCompletion Establishing guidelines for maintaining the approved projects within the cost limits, preparation and maintenance of projects costtocompletion, and proposal of corrective actions Preparation of forwardlooking estimates relevant to MOI domain specific Participation in the establishment and maintenance of DHSO standardised project control procedures and computerised information systems Support to the HSO Budget Processes Support to the Infrastructure Investment Processes Establishing and maintaining the Ground Segment Documentation Management System DMSECLIPSE Assisting in the maintenance of compliance with the HSO Quality Management System QMS. Qualifications Experience A MSc Engineering or equivalent or MBA or equivalent University degree from a recognised Institute of secondary studies or equivalent qualification in Business Administration or Communications as relevant. B University degree Bachelor from a recognised Institute of secondary studies or equivalent qualification in Business Administration or Communications as relevant. Essential Skills Applicants should have a university degree or an equivalent qualification in a relevant engineeringcommercial or administrative field together with substantial experience in the project control disciplines related to the tasks under consideration, preferably gained in the aerospace industry Experience with computer systems and planningcoordination tools. Interest in a combination of administrative and technical tasks Fluency in English spoken and written. Desirable Skills A good knowledge of a management information system ERP such as SAP A working level knowledge speaking and writing of French andor German is desirable. Qualities Excellent planning and organisational skills, attention to contractual detail, good sense for figures and ability to work effectively in a team environment Good judgment, integrity and communicationskills.
