For the location in Darmstadt Germany we are looking for a Quality Assurance Support Consultant at EUMETSAT. Tasks The activities, for which the LEO Division is in charge of, start with the Phase B of the LEO programmes of EUMETSAT and end with the entry into routine operations service of the Programme. The handover happens after the full system has been established in its main in orbit and on ground components, and has been verified and validated against its specified configuration. The LEO QA Consultant will be integrated into the LEO QA Team which provides support to the LEO Division. EUMETSAT QA Engineers are deployed as integrated support to the various programmes, but belong to the PRS division which is part of the TSS Directorate. The tasks of the LEO QA consultant shall include, but not necessarily be limited to the following Implement EUMETSAT QA policies in the assigned areas, in accordance with the Programme specific QA plan for all phases covered by this SoW and the relevant contract Update the Programme specific QA plan as necessary Followup the satellite procurement activities performed by ESA Provide QA support during the storage phases of the satellites Follow up any repair activity necessary on instruments embarked on MetopC satellite Support, monitor and witness Satellite AIT activities regarding instruments Manage and support the Anomalies Review Board ARB and Material Review Board MRB Provide QA support during the launch preparation activities Participate to the launch campaign, if requested. The launch will take place in Centre Spatial Guyanais in Kourou, French Guyana. Support the definition of the QA procedures for the preparation of Phase CD of the programmes Provide QA support for the implementation of processes focussed in the area of the Ground Segment Support the regular monitoring of established metrics on the main processes within Ground Segments Provide QA support to the GS development activities Preparation and support to the project reviews process Support the QA requirements internal review process. Provide QA support for the implementation of Configuration Management processes Report directly to the LEO QA Manager for all Programme specific QA aspects and brief the LEO QA Manager on the main issues identified in the Programme specific meetings Essential requirements The consultant is required to have the experience and capability to fulfil the assigned tasks in autonomy and with the minimum level of supervision. The consultant shall have, as a prerequisite, a background of at least 5 years in space systems spaceground segments, with at least 3 years of experience in project QA positions. The consultant should have a university degree technical knowledge in the areas mentioned above will be an asset. In detail, the consultant is expected to demonstrate Sound handson experience in QA processes definition, implementation, monitoring and control Sound handson experience in risks management and lessons learned processes Sound experience in a rational application of quality international standards Sound handson experience in managing, reporting and following of procured items Knowledge of project management and project planning, including the ability to identify and report on critical paths Some knowledge of requirements management tools, e.g. DOORS Ability to draft management reports and executive summaries in English Sound handson experience of working on collaborative programmes between different partners Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Access Good interpersonal skills, including mediation skills Very good attitude to team working Other Information Start date is 3rd Quarter of 2015 Fluency in English is mandatory The candidate must have a valid German work and residence permit or be an EU Citizen To ensure your application reaches us please apply online at httpwww.scisys.dewowirarbeitenspacekarrierespacejobs.html
