Rakuten Mobile to offer unlimited data plan for JPY 2,980

(Telecompaper) Rakuten is currently offering its service free of charge for one year for around 3 million users. The unlimited data service will be available in Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya areas where the company has installed its own mobile infrastructure. Outside these regions, KDDI will carry the traffic and data usage will be capped at 2 GB.
