We are currently looking for a Satellite Operations Engineer to support our customer in UK. Satellite Operations Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities Our customer is a world leader in satellite data communications. It pioneered the use of high throughput satellites at the Kaband frequencies. Major organisations are now using its networks for cellular backhaul, IP trunking, complex government and enterprise networks and video services, as well as broadband. As a member of the Satellite Operations Team, you will report to the Satellite Operations Engineering Manager and for operations, you will hold subsystem expertise, attending relevant flight operations reviews at subsystem and spacecraft level and ensuring that relevant engineering procedures are carried out properly. Your tasks will include but will not be limited to Provide operational support to the inorbit satellites Provide operations support to the SCC, TM trending, satellite health analysis, lifetime monitoring and analysis Supporting operational activities such as scheduling and manoeuvres May be required to work shift andor to be on call to provide expertise to the SCC Procurement Support. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline Operations engineering experience through the development cycle up to flight including procedure development, validation, simulations campaigns and flight experience Indepth knowledge of flight databases and flight procedures Experience of platform and communications payload system design Fluency in English is mandatory.
