The successful candidate will work at the core of meteorological satellite operations in Europe at EUMETSAT within the Sentinel 3 Satellite Operations Team. The position is based at EUMETSAT in Darmstadt, Germany. We are looking forward to meeting you! ResponsibilitiesDuties Support the routine operations of the Sentinel 3A satellite and support the preparation of the Sentinel 3B launch, LEOP and routine operations. In particular Provision of operational expertise to the relevant system andor platform and instrument. Maintain the corresponding operations documentation and flight procedures. Perform trending and performance analysis on the corresponding subsystems and instruments. Investigation into satellite anomalies. Participation in satellite oncall support rota. Identification and support to the implementation of system and process improvements concerning the spacecraft operations team responsibilities. Support the systems and operations preparation of Sentinel 3 C and D satellites. Support the system and operations prepration of other LEO satellites. QualificationsExperience University or similar degree Several years of experience working in the operations preparation and routine operations of satellite mission control systems for LEO satellite systems. Experience in the operation and development of satellite ground segment facilities. Several years of experience operating a spacecraft mission control system based on SCOS2000 Essential Skills Experience in the specification of system and operational concepts for LEO satellite missions. Familiarity with OnBoard Control Procedures and OnBoard Position Scheduler concepts. Desirable Skills Experience with configuration control and configuration management is an asset. Understanding or familiarity of the Sentinel 3 missions and its subsystems or instruments.
