A vacancy for a Senior Project Controller has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Newport Reporting into the Service Delivery Manager or Service Project Manager you will provide project support to the Service Delivery Team. This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Companys success, reputation and sustainable growth. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience including proficiency Further educationexperience desirable, good general education essential Project office project management qualification e.g. PRINCE 2 Foundation, ISEB Certificate in Programme and Project Support Office desirable Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and preferably Access. Working knowledge of Microsoft Project. Ability to coordinate a number of tasks simultaneously, and to prioritise and work to tight deadlines Firm understanding of work package management and work package control Ability to combine attention to detail with ability to see underling trends and issues from a mass of information Knowledge of risk management principles Excellent time management skills Ability to build relationships within the Project team and with support organisations Ability to represent Airbus to the customerexternal stakeholders as required Knowledge of SAP desirable Must have existing UK SC security clearance, or be capable of attaining UK SC clearance This role is based at Airbus Defence and Space offices, Newport, South Wales, with occasional requirements for business travel within the UK and abroad Many of our staff work flexibly in many different ways, including parttime.
