Position Reference 670 You will have the opportunity to work on the tasks required for a system engineering service of ground segments or subsegments that are under the responsibility of EUMETSAT and that have been subject to development or evolutions. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Implementation andor support of SW engineering activities in Phase 0A and B o Feasibility and requirements definitionconsolidation phase with preparation of Preliminary Requirement Reviews andor SW Requirements Reviews Data Packages and o Preliminary Definition phase with preparation of Preliminary Design Reviews Data Packages Implementation andor support of SW engineering activities in Phase CD o Detailed Definition phase with preparation of Critical Design Reviews Data Packages o Qualification and Production Phase with preparation of Integration, E2E SW and Acceptance Test ReadinessResults Reviews data packages Implementation of SW engineering activities in Phase E o Assessment of SW performance during operational phase with preparation of operational status reports o Assessment of identified anomalies, participation in ARBs and coordinationfollowup of assigned actions for related Ars o Implementationfollowup of EUMETSATs change controlmanagement processes e.g. ECPs and ETs Implementation of SW engineering activities for IV campaigns, including o The definition of VCDs, IV plans and test specifications and procedures o Coordination or followup of Integration, Verification Validations activities according to the agreed plans when performing the corresponding IVV test campaigns Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory You have at least 3 years of engineering experience of large, UNIX or LINUX based, complex, realtime data processing systems You have skills and experience of at least 3 years in Testing definition, preparation and conduction Software anomalies analysis, debugging, profiling, fixing and processing Proven ability in IV of complex systems Requirements and verification management Formal testing at component, facility and system level You are capable to prepare and manage ICD You have experience in definition, management and traceability of requirements structure with the support of dedicated tools e.g. DOORS Experience in operational environments under strict change control You possess knowledge and experience in one of the following mandatory domains o Near realtime, Earth observation data processing, archiving, distribution o Satellite monitoring and control e.g. SCOS2000 o Mission control functions o Satellite communications packet TMTC, PUS, SLE protocol o Ground Station monitoring and control You have experience knowledge of o Automated Testing o Requirements and verification management using DOORS o Scripting languages in a Linux environment o Programming languages CC, Java, Javascript, XML, Perl, TclTk o Operating systems UNIXLinux and Windows o Relational databases MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL o Networking Internet protocols, TCPIP programming, network monitoring. o ECSS standards How to Apply Looking to take your career to the next level?
