RHEAs MOIS product is an integrated set of tools for spacecraft test and mission operation procedure preparation and execution. It is used by ESA on all current and upcoming missions and is also provided as a commercial product to the space industry, including prime contractors and spacecraft operators. The software is used for more than 80 satellites. RHEA is embarking on a series of major projects for MOIS that feature a significant widening of its scope and adoption of the latest technologies. The candidate for this position will be involved in these projects and general improvements to the product. Profile Successful candidates must have A minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in software engineering more specifically requirements analysis, system analysis and design and development, database SQL and XML design, web services, user interface design At least a Bachelors degree in software engineering or equivalent Experience in technical document writing notably, user requirements, design documentation, and test documentation Strong knowledge of objectoriented and serviceoriented design techniques Extensive experience and proven expertise in o .NET VBC, VB6 o JAVA o Eclipse o XML, WSDL o MS Office and MS Office development macros, interop o Linux o MS Windows environment registry, COM, etc. o Software Configuration Management SCM systems e.g. SubVersion, Mercurial and Git A clientoriented attitude and a willingness to provide user interaction and support A dynamic and proactive attitude, with a strong commitment to the ongoing development and quality of the MOIS product. Excellent communications skills, with very good written and spoken English Proven ability to work within a team Prior work experience with the following tools and domains will be advantageous Experience in Spacecraft Operations preparation and related tools like MOIS. Experience in Satellite Ground Control Systems, including ESA infrastructure MICONSYS, SCOS2000, SMF, MATIS, EUD and standards ECSSE40, ECSSE31, ECSSE32 PLUTO and ECSSE41 PUS.
