LuxSpace LU, a subsidiary of OHB DE is offering space systems consultancy, engineering and integration services as well as related RD to national and international customers. LuxSpace is recruiting a Software Engineer for immediate employment. Job Profile The Software Engineer will be participating in the development of software solutions in the area of spacecraft engineering and services. This includes part or all of the following applications Spacecraft simulators, Embedded programming onboard software, User desktop applications , Web applications. Tasks to be Performed The position covers the complete software lifecycle from software specification, design, implementation, testing and documentation. The duties could be summarized as Work on requirements analysis, Create the software architecture and detailed design, Write the source code of the application, Generate a test plan, test cases and procedures, Validate the software, Verify the software lifecycle, Generate technical documentation in English, Attend software reviews with customer, Participate actively in the software department activities. Required Skills, Experience and Candidate Profile Candidates should meet the following criteria Educated to Master degree level in Software Engineering or equivalent Have a minimum understanding of Space Systems experience in the spacecraft i.e. satellite industry andor knowledge of ESA standards ECSS would be an asset, Experienceknowledge in the following areas will be specifically considered o CC, o Java, o C, o Object oriented design UML, SysML, o Software Lifecycle processes o MatlabSimulink Experienceknowledge in the following areas will be considered an asset o Spacecraft simulations, o Embedded software, o User interface design, o Web development o ECSS Standards Languages Good English language skills spoken and written, German andor French knowledge being considered as an asset Good communication capabilities, analytical sense and priority setting abilities Methodical workapproach Taking responsibility and being proactive Be able to integrate into andor to lead crossfunctional project teams Willingness to travel and to be part of a collocated team for a limited time Ability to work and interface with a multinational team EU citizenship or valid Luxembourg work permit mandatory for nationals from nonEUcountries or countries treated as such. NonEU citizens without valid Luxembourg work permit cannot be taken into consideration.
