We are currently looking for Spacecraft Operations Engineers to support our customer ESAESOC in Germany. Spacecraft Operations Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities The European Space Operations Centre ESOC is the main mission control centre for the European Space Agency ESA and provides satellite operations and ground station tracking network services to its users. As part of the Operations Team, you will have the following responsibilities Study of Project Specific Characteristics and Ground Segment Documentation Preparation of Functional Requirements for the Flight Control Software Participation in the Analysis and Design of Satellite Operations Preparation of Functional Requirements for the Project dedicated Flight Control Ground Facilities Preparation of Flight Control and Contingency Procedures Mission Management and Mission Planning Support OnBoard Software Maintenance Support Preparation and execution of verification test plans and validation test plans for ground and operations systems Production of Project Specific Software Validation and Satellite Interface Validation Test SVT Procedures and Participation in SVTs Participation in the System Operations Validation Test SOV, Training and Simulation Programmes Participation in Launch and Early Orbit Phase LEOP and Mission Critical Operations Providing Flight Control Support Performing Spacecraft Performance Analysis. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University Degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related subject Several years of professional experience in spacecraft operations Experience with flight procedures life cycle, including preparation of high level plans timelines, phase dependent plans Experience with organization or execution tests involving both ground and space segment Experience with anomaly investigations Experience with Packet Utilisation Standards Familiarity with low Earth orbit satellites is advantageous Familiarity with satellite mission control systems, in particular SCOS2000 Ability to understand and accurately predict behaviour of complex systems Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
