Spacecraft Operations Engineer BIOMASS 2023023 Job Description We are looking for a Spacecraft Operations Engineer for our client, ESOC. You will join a team that supports the EO Division in the areas of OPSPREP and OPERATIONS, which focuses on two missions BIOMASS and FLEX. Although support for both missions will be necessary, this positions emphasis is on the BIOMASS mission. As a member of the BIOMASS Spacecraft Operations Engineers SOE Team, you will contribute to a number of system and subsystems engineering areas of expertise for Preparation and LEOPSpecialOPS phases, including Platform System Operations Engineering Support Payload including Payload Management System Operations Engineering Support AOCS Operations Engineering Support PowerThermalRF Operations Engineering Support Up to a maximum of six European missions annually can be expected. Required Skills and Experience The following special requirements are expected for System Supports A minimum of 5 years experience with proven expertise in FOS development of FCT related tasks e.g. FOP preparation and validation, SVT preparation and execution. Robust understanding of FOS main components. Proven experience with S2K based MCS as a minimum S2K rel.5, better rel.6, NDIUGSTVi and MOIS. Proven experience with ESOC external interfaces and Mission Planning cycle Proven experience with development cycle of Operational Simulator Experience with system level tasks and system minded attitude Platform System Support Proven expertise with modern avionics platforms distinct advantage if expertise on AS250 AOCS Support Some expertise in the area of AOCS an asset if on AS250 ThermalPowerRF Support Some expertise in the area of ThermalPowerRF an asset if on AS250 Mandatory exposure to exportcontrolled information ITAR, EAR, EU, etc. and full compliance with US EAR regulation.
