Position Reference 769 We are currently looking for a Spacecraft Operations Engineer to work at our clients premises in the city of Darmstadt, Germany. The areas of responsibility for this role encompass from Operations Supervision and Mission Planning, to assuming the responsibility and performing activities for additional subsystems or systems within the scope of general SOE services, including testing, validation and operation of the Mission Control System, Mission Planning System and Simulator. The key person will be primarily assigned to the Heliophysics Missions Operations Unit OPSOPS which encompasses Cluster II in extended routine and Solar Orbiter in cruise missions within the Solar System Exploration Missions Division but with the possibility of supporting other missions . Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Operations Supervision. Anomaly Handling. Mission Planning. Tools, MIB and FOP Maintenance. Validation and Deployment of Ground Systems updates. Management and coordination of internal mission interfaces. Spacecraft Performance Analysis and Reporting. Phase Execution Eclipses Ops, Flyby, Remote Sensing Windows, etc.. OnBoard Software Maintenance Support Service. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory University degree or equivalent education in a relevant discipline. Spacecraft System and Subsystem knowledge AOCSDHOBSMPowerThermalTTCPayload. Experience in activities applicable to spacecraft operations. Coordination and interaction with other service providers in operations and other fields team player. Fluency in English, both written and spoken. The following skills would be highly desirable Experience in programming in Python and SW Engineering practices and technology SQLNoSQL DB, Angular, Django, Docker, GITLAB, webservices, etc.. Experience in the generation of nominal contingency procedures. Familiarity with satellite control systems, in particular SCOS2000. Familiarity with Onboard SW and OBCP development. Familiarity with operational simulators, especially the ones based on SimSat. Familiarity with deep space missions. Familiarity with MOIS. The ability to multitask efficiently working on multiple activities, multiple subsystems and if applicable multiple missions simultaneously.
