We are currently looking for a Spacecraft Operations Engineer XMMINTEGRAL to support our customer in Germany. Spacecraft Operations Engineer XMMINTEGRAL Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of the XMMNewtonINTEGRAL Flight Control Team FCT, you will have the following responsibilities Assist in the execution of the missions operations with a special responsibility for the OBDH PowerThermal and Propulsion of Integral and XMMNewton Assist in the execution of the mission operations with backup responsibility for other subsystems Assist to coordinate OF routine operations etc. Assist in the analysis, implementation, testing and tailoring of mission control automation tools Act as internal Flight Control Team training coordinator for both Missions Assist in the review of the existing infrastructure and mission systems and define any upgrades required for the Mission Operations Centre for XMMNewton Define, prepare and execute ground segment validation tests including acceptance tests, system validation tests and ground segment system tests Prepare and execute spacecraft operations for nominal and contingency cases Analyse and report on spacecraft and ground segment performance Provide on call support for XMMNewton and INTEGRAL Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent Experience of spacecraft subsystems and operations i.e. OBDH, PowerThermal, propulsion system, instruments Good spacecraft subsystem knowledge Applicable background in operations ground segment development Payload expertise and experience Science payload experience is an asset Fluency in English is mandatory This job is located in Darmstadt.
