Vitrociset Belgium is looking for a candidate with the profuile described below to deploy in ESOC in the domain of Spacecraft Operations Engineering. The engineer will be required to support spacecraft operations as a member of a Flight Control Team. TASKS The main tasks of a Spacecraft Operations Engineer are as follows Mission preparation, LEOP and commissioning phases Review mission documentation and define spacecraft operations concept, based on the missions objectives. Follow the development of the spacecraft and interface with project group and industry for technical matters and review of spacecraft design, interfaces to the ground segment and operations documentation. Review of the existing infrastructure and mission systems to define system and subsystem requirements for the mission. Support the definition, preparation and execution of ground segment validation tests. of the procedures for nominal and contingency cases. Support the preparation of additional operational products such as Flight Operations Plan, Operations Reports and Database. Support the preparation and execution of the System Validation Tests SVT. Support the preparation and execution of the simulations campaigns. Support the preparation and execution of the operations including prelaunch, LEOP and commissioning phases. Identify, record, and support the investigation and progression of spacecraft and groundbased anomalies during the SVTs, simulations campaign and LEOP. Mission routine phase Support the planning and execution of spacecraft routine operations, both online and offline. Support the execution of routine and contingency operations as required. Support the planning and execution of special operations. Support the analysis of spacecraft and ground segment performance. Perform systems and payload monitoring and long term trend evaluations. Support anomaly investigations, tracking followup. Support the regular generation of operations reports. Support the maintenance of procedures to take into account spacecraft failures, reconfigurations or new requirements. Provide support for the oncall service. Interface with other internal and external teams. PROFILE Academic requirements a University or similar degree in engineering, physics or similar discipline. Qualifications Good knowledge of spacecraft subsystems. Familiarity with operational environment. Ability to understand complex systems and to derive operational procedures Proactive and confident personality with good persuasive skills. Able to work in an interdisciplinary team.
