For the location in Darmstadt, Germany we are looking for a Spacecraft Operations Engineer for SeosatIngenio fm at ESOC. Tasks A Spacecraft Operations Engineer is required to work as part of the SEOSATIngenio Flight Control Team. The position is for supporting the Spacecraft Operations Manager during the prelaunch. LEOP and commissioning phases in the Preparation of the operational products, in particular the Operational DB and the Flight Operations Procedures and timelines SVT preparation and execution Mission Control System validation Simulator validation Training and Simulations LEOP Commissioning preparation and execution The SEOSATIngenio team being of a reduced size and the ESOC involvement finishing at the end of the commissioning phase, the SOE is expected to be flexible enough to take tasks for different subsystems. In particular the selected candidate must be able to take care of the Data Handling operations preparation, and help in the production of the procedures and SVT test cases for other subsystems. The execution of the work might require periods at the Routine Phase Control Centre, located in Madrid. This is expected to be the case for some of the SVTs, and during part of the commissioning phase. A close collaboration with the Routine Phase ground segment contractor and operator will also be required. In addition to the tasks on SEOSATIngenio, assistance for other missions in preparation by the division could be required by the SOM for the same type of activities. In particular, due to the commonality between the SEOSATIngenio and the Sentinel5 Precursor satellites, and the similar schedule, the assigned person will be requested to support as well the preparation activities for that mission. Essential requirements For the accomplishment of the listed tasks, knowledge of the following is mandatory A university degree in engineering or physics Good knowledge of spacecraft subsystems Desirable skills Some professional experience in the space field, in particular in operations is highly desirable.
