Using 100% dedicated natural gas as fuel, Westport™ enhanced spark-ignited (ESI) combustion targets sub-9 L engines for Class 6 and 7 trucks applications, and is also adaptable for sub-2 L applications for automotive and non-automotive applications. System utilizes port injection for optimal cylinder to cylinder control of air fuel ratio, and performance allows 4 L natural gas engine to replace 6 L diesel engine. System can also provide up to 40% brake thermal efficiency.
