State approves rate hike for Piedmont Natural Gas

N.C. regulators have approved an increase in the benchmark price Piedmont Natural Gas passes on to customers, leading to a rate hike of $1.90 per dekatherm. Impact on the typical residential customers' bill for the summer season will be about $1 per month, Piedmont says.
