The WTO and OECD just triggered a revolution in the way export data are calculated, by isolating foreign value included into gross exports of a list of countries. This should pave the way for getting a clearer picture of global textile and apparel trade and could be a plus for a global supply chain in search of real value of foreign components in a finished product.
