We are currently looking for a System Operations Engineerto support our customer in Germany. System Operations Engineer Key tasks and responsibilities You will provide support to the development and operation of the MSG Ground Segment and the EPS Overall Ground System, with the following responsibilities System operations in a realtime operations environment Endtoend operations monitoring Communications systems operations Infrastructure operations and evolution including control centre definition and redesign upgrades, and system operations configuration management Business Continuity maintenance of Operations Evacuation Control Room etc Multimission operations, including e.g. Storage Network Infrastructure SNI System Evolutions for existing and new programmes Manual and Automated system and satellite operations incl. planning scheduling Provision of support to the routine operation of the LEO GEO ground segments Definition andor maintenance of the routine operations procedures Support to the development and operations preparation for recurrent satellites in existing operational programs. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline Several years of experience in system operations in a realtime spacecraft operations environment Profound experience in the operation of spacecraft control systems Experience in control room architectures and ergonomics Experience with communications systems operations Experience defining and implementing the verification and validation of ground segment systems Fluency in English mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
