Inside of the Operations Department we offer the following career option System Spacecraft Operations Engineer Your Mission As a core team member of the Galileo Service Operator GSOp, DLR GfR mbH operates and manages the constellation of Galileo satellites from the Galileo Control Center in Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany GCCD. As a System Spacecraft Operations Engineer you will assume the following duties Coordination of spacecraft onconsole operations Support of engineering tasks e.g. onboard software upload strategy and procedures preparation Mentoring team members SOE Certification board support Technical coordination of the SOE team Support of technical workshops Preparation of Observation Reports and support of incident processing Support of activity planning Configuration Change RequestsProcedure Change Requests processing support Planning and implementation of test procedures Providing service in compliance with KPIs Preparation of performance and trend analysis Execution of error analysis and errorhandling procedures Analysis, development and validation of operational procedures Intersite support e.g. unplanned GCS Handover Your Qualification Masters degree in engineering or equivalent preferred in aerospace engineering or equivalent Experience in Spacecraft Operations Engineering ideally Galileo SOE certification since more than 3 year Very good level of spoken and written English Willingness to work in shiftsOncall Willingness to apply for a security clearance process Our Offer Collaboration in the European lighthouse project Galileo trusting and appreciative cooperation in an international environment international team spirit 30 days annual leave compatibility of career and family life e.g. through flexible working time models in the context of company requirements Extra benefits such as awo lifebalance a varied personnel development program individual career options for example through secondments to partner agencies enterprises abroad employerfinanced retirement plan attractive location with a high recreational value in the fivelakes region near Munich and much much more ...
