Telekom, Sky sign agreement for Sky channels via IPTV

(Telecompaper) Deutsche Telekom and pay-TV operator Sky Deutschland have signed a cooperation agreement under which Telekom Deutschland will offer Sky Deutschland channels to customers of its IPTV service Entertain. The agreement starts in the middle of this year and not only includes Bundesliga football as well as the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, DFB-Pokal, golf and tennis major plus movies and other Sky content via the Sky Welt, Sky Fussball Bundesliga, Sky Sport and Sky Film channels. The agreement runs for four years and includes numerous joint marketing activities. Telekom's mobile customers, who have been following the Bundesliga live via Telekom's mobile TV service and who could watch the roundups of the matches afterwards, will get a corresponding offering. No financial details were disclosed.
