RHEA is currently looking for Thermal Engineers in support of the Solar Orbiter mission to integrate our team in Stevenage UK. The following general activities have been identified Generation of test planning and requirements at spacecraft level for the STM thermal and photometric tests, including build of detailed thermal models, test predictions and model correlation. Provide technical support for the thermal and photometric testing of the STM spacecraft and review of resultant test results. Generation of related inputs into the Prime Engineering team for example MICD, TICD, EICD, EIDA, Operational inputs. Review of technical documentation from spacecraft subsystems and payloads related to the spacecraft Thermal Control System. Schedule and risk inputs to the Prime team for the TCS and its associated equipment. Provide detailed thermal analysis, including construction of the thermal models, and review support to the Prime team. Generation of technical documentation relating to the design, analysis and testing of the spacecraft Thermal Control System. Candidates shall have proven experience in thermal design, construction of detailed thermal models and system analysis, spacecraft test definition, execution and model correlation. Applicants shall state own major strengths and give details of own achievements in the related fields. The following tasks shall be performed 1. Generation of test planning and requirements at spacecraft level for the STM thermal and photometric tests, including build of detailed thermal models, test predictions and model correlation, including Supervision of drawings and manufacture of the TCS components and interfaces with the spacecraft subsystems. Preparation of test documentation, including test planning, requirements and test report. Preparation of thermal model representing the test configuration and generation of test predictions, model description report, posttest model correlation and model correlation report. Checking and integration of supplied thermal models applicable to the STM thermal test. 2. Provide technical support for the thermal and photometric testing of the STM spacecraft and review of resultant test results, including Support to the thermal test and related reviews, including shifts for duration of thermal test. 3. Generation of technical documentation relating to the design, analysis and testing of the spacecraft Thermal Control System, including. Support the Lead Thermal Analyst in generation of spacecraft thermal analysis documents. Provide inputs to the preparation of documents for the spacecraft CDR campaign, including inputs the CDR thermal analysis report, thermal design report. Provide inputs to closure of spacecraft CDR actions. 4. Provide detailed thermal analysis, including construction of the thermal models, and review support to the Prime team, including Support the Lead Thermal Analyst in preparation and maintenance of spacecraft thermal models. Checking and integration of supplied models applicable to the FM spacecraft configuration. Run design andor performance cases for the spacecraft CDR. 5. Generation of related inputs into the Prime Engineering team for example MICD, TICD, EICD, EIDA, Operational inputs. Maintenance of technical budgets related to the spacecraft TCS. 6. Review of technical documentation from spacecraft subsystems and payloads related to the spacecraft Thermal Control System, including Identification of any changes in spacecraft interface that will impact the TCS 7. Schedule and risk inputs to the Prime team for the TCS and its associated equipment. In addition to the above tasks the contractors engineers will be expected to interface with other members of the Astrium prime team and with the ESA team on an ad hoc basis.
