Airbus Defence and Space is a division of Airbus Group formed by combining the business activities of Cassidian, Astrium and Airbus Military. It employs some 40,000 employees generating revenues of approximately 14 billion per year. A vacancy for a Through Life Support TLS Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Stevenage. The TLS Engineer will be responsible for the practical application of the Integrated Logistic Support ILS philosophy in accordance with the Defence Standard 0060 00600, offering support to the through life cycle of a service to disposal. The successful candidate will be subject to UK National Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include I Technical Tasks Make recommendations to offer a robust through life support solution to both the customer and the business. To influence system design using effective Logistical Support Analysis LSA tool sets. Help develop a through life programme strategy utilising faultrepair trend analysis. Carry out through life LSA tasks, for instance Level of Repair Analysis LORA, Life Cycle Costing LCC, Maintenance Task Analysis MTA. Review and assess through life support requirements based on Key Performance Indicators KPI. Review and update TLS documentation and processes. Review and maintain a Defective Report and Corrective Action System DRACAS database. Assist in the collation of evidence for sentencing processes and committees. II Project tasks activities Ensure correct ILSTLS standards and processes are applied to support customer requirements throughout the lifecycle of a service. Manage the logistical requirements of a project to ensure the Service Level Agreement SLA between the service provider and the customer is adhered to. Attend Design, Organisational review and Monthly Progress meetings. Plan, adapt and tailor LSA requirements for any given project andor service. Liaise with subcontractors customers on ILSTLS issues. Interface with other engineering departments. Manage ILSTLS deliverables for quality, critical time lines budget requirements. Present ILSTLS solutions to internal and external agencies as required. Assist in the development of mid term long term workload plans. The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience EngineeringILS background with track record in the SatelliteTelecoms industry. Knowledge of Integrated Logistics Support ILS Basics, Repair Analysis and Logistics Support Analysis Planning. Understanding of Risk analysis, Statistical analysis. Knowledge and use of the appropriate ILS Standards i.e Defence Standards. Knowledge of Methodologies of DRACAS would be desirable. Experience in Technical data sourcing and analysis. Ability to assess and optimise stock levels. Strong communications skills and good team spirit.
