Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad had more than 2,200 past-due grain car orders across the country, including more than 200 in South Dakota as of September 5. That's up ten percent from the week before. The backlog of rail cars may cut into the price for grain as South Dakota farmers head into the harvest.
