DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 800 PM PDT (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Eight-E was located near latitude 16.6 North, longitude 137.1 West. The depression is moving toward the west near 16 mph (26 km/h), and this motion is expected to continue through Thursday. Maximum sustained winds remain near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Little change in strength is forecast during the next 24 hours, but the depression is expected to dissipate by Thursday night. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1007 mb (29.74 inches).
