DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 200 AM PDT (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Eight-E was located near latitude 16.5 North, longitude 138.5 West. The depression is moving toward the west near 15 mph (24 km/h), and this motion is expected to continue for the next 12 to 24 hours. Maximum sustained winds are near 30 mph (45 km/h) with higher gusts. The depression is forecast to dissipate later today. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1007 mb (29.74 inches).
