DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 200 PM PDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Eight-E was located near latitude 14.1 North, longitude 121.7 West. The depression is moving toward the west-southwest near 6 mph (9 km/h), and a slow motion toward the southwest or south-southwest is expected during the next couple of days. Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 30 mph (45 km/h) with higher gusts. Little change in strength is forecast during the next 48 hours.
