Union Pacific Railroad gives OK to Willard Bridge project

The Union Pacific Railroad gave final approval for Shawnee County's plans to replace the aged Willard Bridge - a key step in the project. The railroad, which operates a mainline track under the bridge along the south bank of the Kansas River, must give approval to any project that crosses it's right-of-way, Tom Vlach, director of public works, said.
