(Telecompaper) Verizon Communications hopes to make over USD 2.5 billion from the sale of its data centre assets, Reuters reported citing people familiar with the matter. The sources said the sale process has been launched as the company puts its attention on its core business. The 'colocation' portfolio up for sale includes 48 data centres which generates annual EBITDA of around USD 275 million, the sources said, adding that Citigroup is advising Verizon on the sale.
