Sunday: Nearly 15 years after a state audit concluded almost half the cars and trucks in South Carolina were improperly taxed, problems persist in a system that relies on auto price lists the public isn't allowed to see. The Post and Courier analyzed more than 344,000 tax records to pinpoint the weaknesses that compromise fair taxation and an important funding source for schools.
