For the location in Darmstadt Germany we are looking for a XMMNewton Spacecraft Operations Engineer Tasks To support the Spacecraft Operations Managers in the the development of operations procedures for onboard thermal control of platform and instruments, deorbiting, mission control system and simulator migration and automation activities. The successfull Candidate is required to familiarise himself with the missions he is supporting and in particular with the procedures, ground segment and its tools that are needed to perform the mission operations. Essential requirements Knowledge of spacecraft subsystems and operations i.e. OBDH, PowerThermal, propulsion system, instruments Previous spacecraft operations experience Desirable requirements Experience of XMM Integral specific tools FOP tool, fopgen, MOIS, Operational Simulator, MCS, Database, Mission planning Experience of ODBHOBSM Other Information Fluency in English is mandatory Possibility of supporting other missions within the Astronomy and Fundamental Physics Missions Division at a later stage Start date October 2014
