Respectively intended for high- and low- to medium-force applications, vertical axis dual rail stage (DRS) and horizontal axis single rail stage (SRS) are closed loop positioning systems driven by brushless linear motors that are guided by recirculating linear ball bearing blocks and rails. Each axis incorporates 1 micron resolution linear encoders, and dual shock absorbing dampers protect stage and payload. Respective strokes for horizontal and vertical axes are 13.8 in and 4 in.
