Client and Location For one of our customers we are currently recruiting a Sentinel Optical Payload Architect for their location in Bremen, Germany. With 1200 employees on multiple locations in Germany and 2500 worldwide, this organization is one of the top players in the European space industry. The company is currently working on some of Europes major satellite and spacecraft development and manufacturing programs and is looking for support within the Optics Department. As a Sentinel Optical Payload Architect, you will be responsible for ensuring the compatibility of the satellite design with the mission e.g. Science, Earth Observation, Analysis and flow down of the Mission and the Payload requirements into an Optical Payload Specification. Experience and Education University degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, physics or related disciplines and professional experience of at last 2 years Profound knowledge in the field of optical instruments High motivation and proactive involvement Excellent conceptual and problem solving skills as well as developed communication and negotiation skills Ability to work in international teams Fluency in spoken and written English Ideally, experience in the development of satellites in Phases 0 to B2 Knowledge in optical payload architecture and interface management is an asset Further foreign languages are an asset. The ALTIUS mission aims at the development of an Earth limb sounder mission based on a small satellite. Its main objective is the monitoring of the distribution and evolution of stratospheric ozone at high vertical resolution in support of long term monitoring and operational services. Measurements of concentration profiles of other atmospheric species as well as of aerosol extinction vertical profiles are also envisaged in the frame of monitoring and scientific activities. The holder of this post will contribute to all aspects project internal activities, monitoringreview of the relevant industrial activities, interaction with Mission Users and Scientists relevant to the mission performance of the ALTIUS mission up to Level 2. The post holder will report to the ALTIUS System and Engineering.

Optical Instrument Payload Engineer 1611102 Job Description We are looking for an Optical Instrument Engineer to support our client ESA at ESTEC in Holland. You will be supporting the Space Segment Performance Engineering activities within Earth Observation. In particular your tasks will include The development, implementation and validation of complex performance models of optical spaceborne instruments, in particular passive spectrometers instruments, dedicated to atmospheric missions The assessment of the instruments system performance as well as subsystems contributing to the instruments performances The contribution to meetings within ESA, industry and potentially with users.
