Spacecraft Operations Engineer Mission Planning and Payloads MF Telespazio VEGA Deutschland has been supporting the European Space Industry for over 30 years, including ESA, DLR, EUMETSAT and CNES. This is a regular opportunity for an experienced Engineer to work in the domain of satellite operations operations preparations in Darmstadt ESAEsoc. Its covering a Spacecraft Operations Engineering service primarily assigned to Sentinel1 mission, but with the possibility of supporting other missions within the Earth Observation Missions Division. The primary areas of responsibility for this position are the CBand SAR instrument and the Optical Communications Payload OCP but the candidate may be requested to assume the responsibility and perform activities for additional subsystems or systems within the scope of general SOE services. RESPONSIBILITIES DUTIES specific to Sentinel1 Validation, test and operation of the MCS Mission Planning System The definition of the Mission Planning interface with PDGS Inorbit commissioning Responsible for the SAR and OCP NDIU PSS validation, test and operation LEOP support Responsible for Payloads, Power, Thermal and Deployables QUALIFICATIONSEXPERIENCE University or similar degree in aerospace, electronics or physics A few years experiences with operational aspects of satellites ESSENTIAL SKILLS Spacecraft subsystem knowledge, preferably for SAR instruments or similar payloads Experience in activities applicable to spacecraft operations Fluency in English, both in speech and writing Coordinate and interact with other service providers in operations and other fields.
