ResponsibilitiesDuties We are supporting the European Space Agency ESA with highly qualified services at the European Operations Control Centre ESOC in Darmstadt. For a new service position within the area of Earth Observation Data Systems we are searching for a Data System Engineer DSE to complement our international service team! As part of the service you will assist and deputize ESAs technical personnel in the execution of the Flexible Planning, Commanding and communication processes for Earth Observation Missions Technology Development Element TDE study. Furthermore, you will be in charge of running the EGOSCC Adoption for EO missions project with the goals of Developing Core EO features in EGOSCC Conducting a demonstration campaign with SWARM mission Conducting demonstration campaign with Sentinel6 mission Performing a shadow operational campaign with SWARM mission In your role you will coordinate and collaborate with industrial partners and other teams within ESOC to ensure the success of the project. In close cooperation with ESA technical personnel you will supervise and drive the progress of the project, perform vital project management and software engineering tasks and be involved in related contractual and technical preparations. Detailed information on the missions and the activities of ESOC can be found on www.esa.int QualificationsExperience University degree in a relevant engineering field, computer engineering, physics or equivalent with high grades.
