Telefonica reveals 5-point plan to boost revenues by 2bn

International telecoms giant, Telefonica, has unveiled a 5-point plan to streamline its business operations and generate an additional €2 billion in new revenues by 2022. Cisco sees revenues turning lower after 2% growth in October quarter

(Telecompaper) Cisco reported revenue from continuing operations up 2 percent to USD 13.2 billion in its fiscal first quarter to October. That was at the high end of its outlook for flat to 2 percent growth. For the current quarter, the company predicted a slowdown, with revenues down 3-5 percent year-on-year.

Vodafone Italia service revenues improve to a 3.5% decline on fixed line boost

(Telecompaper) Vodafone Italia reported organic service revenues down 3.5 percent year on year to EUR 1.23 billion in its fiscal second quarter to end-September, an improvement on a 3.8 percent decline in the previous quarter, boosted by continued strong growth in fixed line and the mitigating effects of its second brand Ho in the mobile segment.

1&1 Drillisch sees increase in revenues and customers but decline in EBITDA in first 9 months

(Telecompaper) German operator 1&1 Drillisch said that in the first nine months of 2019, its revenues rose by 1.3 percent to EUR 2.75 billion from EUR 2.71 million in the same period last year. Consolidated EBITDA declined by 3.1 percent, or EUR 16.1 million, to EUR 508.7 million in the period compared with EUR 524.8 million in the first nine months of 2018.

Telecom Italia service revenues down 5.7% in Q3 on wholesale losses and competition, cuts debt

(Telecompaper) Telecom Italia (TIM) reported a 5.7 percent year-on-year decline in third quarter service revenues to EUR 4.06 billion compared to falls of 0.4 percent, 2.5 percent and 2.9 percent in the previous three quarters, attributed mainly to a significant reduction in international wholesale contracts, partly offset by a 3.0 percent year on year rise in revenues at its TIM Brasil unit. The group's EBITDA after leases was down 4.3 percent to EUR 1.9 billion in the three months ending September compared with the same period of last year, though the margin inched up 0.7 percentage points to 44.6 percent thanks to cost containment initiatives.
