A broad area of low pressure is forming a few hundred miles south of the coast of Guatemala. Environmental conditions are forecast to be conducive for development of this system, and a tropical depression is likely to form during the early or middle portions of next week. An area of low pressure is expected to develop a few hundred miles south of the Gulf of Tehuantepec by early next week. Showers and thunderstorms are beginning to show some signs of organization in association with a broad area of low pressure located a couple of hundred miles south of the coast of southwestern Mexico.
