We are looking for an Assistant Configuration Officer M2 to join our Modis Aerospace team, working onsite at the European Space Agency in the Netherlands. This is a temporary assignment from 01092019 30062020. Modis Aerospace is a specialized Engineering consultancy with more than 30 years experience providing aerospace Engineers to our key partners in The Netherlands. Modis is a longstanding business partner of the European Space Agency ESA, with more than 120 employees recruited from across Europe currently supporting ESAs activities. Tasks to be performed Assistant Configuration Controller for the Project MPCV ESM. Configuration control covers both ESA internal activities and activities performed by Industrial Contractors. It includes the following typical duties vs Industries Control of the implementation of the Customer CM requirements by reviewing Contractors CM Plans and relevant Documents Control of the Technical and Design Baseline by reviewing related documentation eg CIDL Control of the Baselines Evolution change implementation process Control and review of the Asbuilt certification ABCDLs Participation to the Incremental Review in subcontractor sites in order to verify the AsDesign and AsBuilt documentation in correlation with the HW integration testing and Acceptance Participating in Project Reviews PSR,FAR, QR and Production reviews IRR, TRR, PTR, DRB. It includes the following typical duties in the ESA team Provide administrative support to the ECB Engineering Change Board JECB organise the review of specific EngineeringPA Documentation like NCRs, RFDRFWs, ECPs, CRs, OCRs, etc.. and manage the interface exchanges with Industries and NASA Maintain the ESM Requirement Baseline EMDL under control for all ESM Models Provide administrative support to the CCB Contractual Change Board and manage the interface exchanges with Industries and NASA. To successfully perform the above mentioned tasks, the following background experience is required University degree Bachelor from a recognised Institution of secondary studies or equivalent qualification Proven experience in Configuration Management in Space Companies Organizations are an asset Adequate knowledge and understanding of the applicable ESA Configuration Management requirements and standards such as MSESARQ100, MSESARQ108, ECSSM40 are an asset Good knowledge of the specific activities andor organisation, of the applicable configuration management working procedures and support tools are an asset Previous experiences in fields like Product Assurance, System Engineering and Production Control are an asset Proficient in the English language, both written and spoken, knowledge of another official ESA language is an asset Experience in controlling andor management of activities and resources in aerospace industry Highly proficient in the use of modern activities and resource management support toolsdatabases of standard office automation support software packages including in particular advance usage of Excel Ability to rapidly understand and adapt to ESA specific context and environment including ESA corporate IT applications. The European GNSS Agency GSA is responsible for the operations and service provision for the European Global Navigation Satellite Systems GNSS EGNOS and Galileo. TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Project Control Officer reports to the Head of Project Control and Office of the Executive Director Quality.
