Jio Platforms sells 1.16% stake to Abu Dhabi Investment Authority for EUR 667 mln

(Telecompaper) The Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) has bought a stake in Jio Platforms of 1.16 percent, for INR 56.83 billion, or over EUR 667 million. The latest investment brings Jio Platforms' enterprise value to INR 5.16 trillion, the company said.

Technicolor abandons plan for EUR 300 mln rights issue, seeks new EUR 400 mln financing

(Telecompaper) Technicolor said that it has been unable to go ahead with its previously announced EUR 300 million rights issue, due to the unprecedented crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. It has instead entered talks with some of its creditors and with third-party investors to obtain a new EUR 400 million financing, indicating that so far it has received indicative offers from one investor and from one of its existing lenders.
Pexip raises USD 100 mln in IPO, shares gain 41% by mid-morning on first day's trade

(Telecompaper) Norwegian video conferencing service provider Pexip said it is now listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange following the IPO that raised USD 100 million from investors in Europe and the US. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, its IPO roadshow was all done remotely via video. CEO Odd Sverre Ostlie estimates that this approach saved over 1,700 hours or more than 70 days of travel time, and over 80 tons of carbon dioxide, roughly the amount that ten Norwegians use in an entire year.
Vodacom Group FY revenue rises 5%, subscriber base up by 6 mln

(Telecompaper) Vodacom Group revenue increased by 4.8 percent to ZAR 90.75 billon for the year ended 31 March from ZAR 86.63 billion in the same period of 2019, supported by service revenue growth of 5.0 percent. The mobile phone firm added 5.9 million customers and reached 116 million across the group. Total financial services customers were up 12.8 percent or 6.0 million to 53.2 million.
Cellnex sales up 49% to EUR 358 mln in Q1 following asset acquisitions

(Telecompaper) Spanish operator Cellnex Telecom, Europe's largest mobile towers company, reported revenues of EUR 358 million in the first quarter of 2020, up 49 percent year on year, with EBITDA surging 64 percent to EUR 260 million. Both figures were strongly impacted by the series of asset acquisitions made in 2019 in France and Italy (Iliad), Switzerland (Salt), the UK (BT), Ireland (Cignal) and Spain (Orange), as well as the purchase of OMTEL in Portugal, which closed on 02 January 2020.
